Simplex Chrome Tea Kettles
Our handcrafted solid copper Simplex Tea Kettles come equipped
with an ingenious metal ball in the spout that forces steam up through
the whistle in the lid, but releases the water when you pour. The black
beech wood handle won't get hot. The gas stove model has a coil bottom
to conduct heat, contain the gas flame, and speed boiling.
(The gas model is NOT recommended for use on
electric stoves.) All are made of copper, but
come in either chrome or copper finishes. The
copper finish requires polishing as it will
tarnish over time. For the chrome finish model,
just clean with damp cloth and buff to shine.
Copper finished kettles have a pure tin lining
and chrome finished kettles have a
nickel-lining.
