up through the whistle in the lid, but releases the water when you
pour. (The gas model is NOT recommended for use on
electric stoves.) The black beech wood handle won't get hot. One can easily
imagine this tea kettle hissing on a stove in an English country
cottage, a comfortable London flat, or your own home.
